A little bit about the teacher....
This is my 23rd year of teaching! I began teaching Kindergarten at Jasper Elementary School. I spent several years teaching kindergarten at Jasper and one year teaching remedial reading to 3rd graders part time. I have been at Hill City Elementary since it opened in 2002. All of these years have been spent in Kindergarten, except for the one year that I taught First Grade.
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from North Georgia College in Dahlonega, Ga. I received my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Piedmont College.
On a personal note...I have been married to my husband, Kevin, for 32 years. We have one son, Jesse, who is twenty years old. Jesse is an Airman in the U.S. Air Force. Jesse attended Hill City Elementary and was fortunate enough to be a member of the first class of students to actually attend Hill City from Kindergarten through 5th grade.
I truly enjoy teaching kindergarteners!! I am amazed at the changes and accomplishments that occur in the children from the first day of Kindergarten to the last day of school in May! I look forward to a wonderful year with your children!
